Requirements for Qualified Investor Visa in Panama

Below are three investments that can qualify you for an investor visa in Panama:

1. Real Estate Investment

To qualify for an investor visa, make a real estate investment in Panama that is worth no less than $500,000. The property must be devoid of any liens. The investor must own that property for at least five years. If the real estate value is above the minimum amount but part of it is financed by a local bank, the deposit must be at least $500,000.

If you haven’t bought a property yet but are planning to, you can use the presale agreement for a property worth at least $500,000. In such a case, you must present an authenticated copy of the promise to purchase agreement at the time of application.

2. Stock Market Investment

Another way to qualify for the Qualified Investor Visa is by purchasing shares worth $500,000 and above through a licensed broker. The applicant must buy securities through an accredited Panama broker for a term of no less than five years. You’ll need to present a certification from the brokerage agency as proof of the transaction. This certification should include the investor’s name, the agency holding the securities, and the terms.

3. Fixed-term Deposit

To meet this qualification, an applicant needs to deposit $750,000 in a Panama bank. The deposit amount should be free from liens. The investment period should also be at least five years. If you aren’t in the country at the time of deposit, authorize a Panama law firm to undertake the process on your behalf. You’ll need to provide the firm with proof that your funds originated in another country.

Why You Should Hire a Panama Law Firm

Understand the Requirements

A Panama legal team can help you understand the requirements and qualifications of the visa process. This includes details like financial, investment, and background check information. In the case of any legal issues during or after your application process, you’ll already have a team in place to defend you.

Investment Advice

Lawyers who specialize in offshore legal services can give advice on the best investment options. They analyze your records and find investments that meet your individual needs and financial goals. Their advice can help you smoothly navigate the legal and regulatory investment requirements.

Document Preparation

The Qualified Investor Visa program allows applicants to start the process without being present in Panama. An immigration attorney in Panama can gather and prepare the necessary documentation for your visa application. This includes financial statements, investment portfolios, real estate deeds, and background check reports.

Find a Firm That Offers Panama Offshore Legal Services

With the help of a legal firm, you can start your Qualified Investor Visa application process even when you’re not in Panama. A law firm that offers Panama offshore legal services can handle your visa application from start to finish. They can find the best investment options for you and help you understand the details. With the help of a Panama attorney, your visa application has a higher chance of approval.
