There’s something special about helium balloons they literally fill you with joy! That’s why it’s important to know where you can buy the best ones in Singapore, and which places you should avoid. With that in mind, here are our top tips on how to find the best deal to buy helium balloons in Singapore:

1. Buy online
The big advantage of buying helium balloons online is that you can order in advance, and they’ll be ready for you to pick up at the local mall or event centre. You’ll also be able to choose your design, colour and balloon size. The biggest downside is of course the shipping cost. However, if you buy a few dozen balloons at a time this can average out to be cheaper than buying them from the store. It’s important to look at each store’s website and calculate what this will cost before you make your purchase. Can’t find the answer there? Check out our helium balloons comparison guide for more information about prices at popular balloon stores in Singapore.
2. Be aware of inflated prices
Every store will list the price for their helium balloons, but that doesn’t mean you should just trust that figure. They might be inflating the price to make it seem like they have a better deal than their competitors. Some stores also might give you a wrongly inflated quote for shipping and handling this happened to us recently when ordering some balloons from one of our recommended stores!
3. Remember, 0.5 cubic metres is equal to 2.5 standard helium balloons
This is something most stores won’t tell you, but once you know it, it can really help you to save money on your purchase. If you want to inflate 2 balloons and you’re given a quote of S$17.50, it can seem expensive. However, if you were to compare that to getting a single helium balloon inflated, the cost is the same S$10 (0.5 m3). This means that buying two standard-sized helium balloons is actually cheaper than one!
4. Bags versus mix-and-match
Some stores will sell helium balloons in bags, but not as individual balloons. If you buy in bulk it can sometimes work out cheaper than buying them individually but if you don’t need all of these balloons for an event, it could work out more expensive for you.
5. Comparing prices
If you’re not sure what to order, you can use our helium balloons comparison guide to compare prices at different stores in both Singapore and worldwide. This will even work if you are ordering online, as you can use the stores’ own comparison tools to check how much they would cost at different locations.
6. Get a package deal
A lot of stores offer packages when you buy your helium balloons including balloons, props and even photoshoot packages! This is a great way to save money on your purchase, and it also makes it easier to choose the best balloons for your needs. Be sure to compare prices on these though, as not all places offer the same deals!
The best place to buy helium balloons is online. There are no inflated prices, and you can get them before your event, which means you don’t have to worry about them running out on the day.
