My job is to look at a lot of data. The finance industry is really competitive, and I’m lucky to have gotten my foot in the door early. One of the biggest changes to the finance industry in recent years has been cryptocurrency. As an analyst, I also look at data regarding crypto and monitor its performance. That way, I can make more accurate predictions. Today, I decided to look into crypto tax software comparison. Some people who are just getting into it don’t usually think about crypto tax, but it’s taxable just like any other stocks or assets because the IRS defines it as property. Using cryptocurrency tax software apart from regular software is important because regulations for cryptocurrency differ. Crypto Vantage is a great resource for comparing software that allows you to track capital gains taxes.

On my way to work, I picked up some breakfast at my favorite donut shop. I spent the morning looking for any weaknesses while preparing financial models. Our company then held a meeting about the threat management software we use. Dossiers is now a part of the platform for evaluation. The program will evaluate dossier types and risk levels. A dossier function within the threat management software allows for consolidation of intelligence discovery and collection for examiners to manage any threats. After the meeting, the rest of my day went by quickly. I took my dog, L., out for a walk and ordered takeout for dinner.

I spent most of my time on Excel, entering in data to keep things organized. I look over a lot of statistics at work to analyze past information and find any trends. It’s important that analysts know how to properly develop recommendations in order to improve business. For lunch, my coworker and I picked up some salads. I also dropped by the local drugstore for mascara because I ran out.

Total: $17.12

After work, my friends and I went out for dinner. There’s a new restaurant that opened in the neighborhood, and we decided to stop by to try it out. They gave our table a complimentary round of cocktails as part of the grand opening. Afterward, we hung out at my apartment and had some tea to wind down.

Total: $36.48

Day Five

I generated some reports and looked over KPIs, also known as key performance indicators. We’ve been meeting our goals, so things have been going well this quarter. I replied to a lot of emails and was able to finish up a presentation I’ve been working on that needs to be ready early next week. I headed out of the office around 4:30 and took L. to the park with my roommate, N. We don’t see each other much because N. works two jobs. So, when we do find each other home at the same time, we like to hang out and catch up. N. bought us some ice cream from a truck.

Day Six

I spent most of the day relaxing in bed. Then, I walked to the used bookstore in my neighborhood and picked up a new book. It’s historical fiction, and reading a few chapters was a nice break from staring at numbers all week at work. I called my mom on the phone and asked how she was doing.

Total: $7

Day Seven

My friends K. and C. invited me out for brunch. After that, I just went home and hung out with L. while watching TV. I made instant ramen for dinner.

Total: $23

Total for the week: $104.60
