Retirement of 3V0-21.18 Exam
A few months ago, VMware announced the retirement of the exam 3V0-21.18 with effect from 31 December 2020. Now that the date is passed, this exam stands retired. This exam was the requirement for VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Data Center Virtualization Deploy 2018 which also stands retired from the same date. From the 1st January 2021, the new exam 3V0-21.20 has replaced it. This exam is a part of the new certification VMware Certified Advanced Professional — Data Center Virtualization Deploy 2021. This exam and certification are active now.

Exam Overview
This exam tests your skills and abilities in the implementation of a vSphere 6.x solution, including deployment, administration, optimization, and troubleshooting. The preferred VCAP Deploy exam registration method is online to ensure all candidate details are received to deliver the lab exam. Lab exam appointments are required to schedule at least 24 – 48 hours prior to the appointment date.

The Advanced Deploy VMware vSphere 6.7 exam (3V0-21.20) which leads to the VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Data Center Virtualization Deploy 2021 certification is a 17-item lab-based exam with a passing score of 300 using a scaled scoring method. Candidates are given 200 minutes to complete the exam, which includes adequate time to complete the exam for non-native English speakers.

Minimally Qualified Candidate
A minimally qualified candidate (MQC) has two years of experience deploying and managing VMware virtualized data center environments. The MQC is capable of deploying, optimizing, operating, and troubleshooting complex virtualized environments. Complex environments are those that require cooperative administration across multiple locations and technologies. The candidate demonstrates technical leadership with the use of automation tools, implementing and remediating virtualized environments as well as administering all vSphere features. Candidates are required to obtain a valid VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization 2020 certification prior to attempting this certification.
